Founder & Creator of WhisprJournal
I built WhisprJournal because I needed it. After years of trying to regulate a nervous system that had been through more than words could hold, I wanted something that would just listen — without judgment, without performance, without a streak to maintain.
Something that could hear the weight in my voice and meet me there. Not a meditation library I had to browse when I was already overwhelmed. Not a journaling app that asked me to type when I could barely think straight. Something that would listen to how I sounded and hand me exactly what my body was asking for.
WhisprJournal is that something.
The science behind it
WhisprJournal is rooted in Stephen Porges' Polyvagal Theory and Deb Dana's clinical framework for nervous system regulation. Every technique, every recommendation, and every interaction is designed to support your autonomic nervous system — gently, without shame, without pressure.
The app analyzes vocal biomarkers — pace, pause patterns, vocal tension — to detect whether your nervous system is in a Ventral Vagal (safe and connected), Sympathetic (fight-or-flight), or Dorsal Vagal (shutdown) state. Then it matches you with a breathing, grounding, or somatic technique designed for that specific state.
The mission
Every person who opens WhisprJournal carries something. A weight they may not have words for yet. This app is built for them. For you. We will never sell your data. We will never reduce your emotional experience to a metric. We will never make healing feel like a transaction.
Your voice deserves to be heard. Your body deserves to be supported. Your journey deserves to be witnessed.
