Data & Account Deletion

Delete your account and data

WhisprJournal stores your journal entries and voice recordings only on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers. This page explains how to permanently delete your account and any data associated with it.

Delete everything, in-app

The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data is directly inside the app:

  1. Open WhisprJournal and go to Settings
  2. Tap Privacy & Security
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm
This is immediate and permanent. It deletes your account, your profile, and every server-side record tied to it (including your profile photo, if you added one). Your on-device journal entries, transcripts, and voice recordings are removed at the same time, since nothing else has a copy of them.

What gets deleted

Journal entries, voice transcripts, and AI-generated insights (Nervous System Profile, weekly/monthly reports) are stored only on your device and are removed the moment you delete the app or delete your account — we never had a server copy of these to begin with.

Account-level data that does live on our servers — your account record, profile info, and any encrypted backup you chose to create — is permanently deleted when you complete account deletion, either in-app or by request below.
